Sanjay Singh surrenders before UP court in Covid norm violation case, gets bail

AAP Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh has surrendered to an MP-MLA court in connection with a 2021 COVID-19 violation case. The court granted bail on a bond of Rs 20,000 after Singh failed to appear in several hearings. An FIR was registered in April 2021, alleging that Singh held an election meeting in favor of Salma Begum, violating the Epidemic Act and Election Code of Conduct. The next hearing is scheduled for July 15.
