Only three games took place in the New York Mets farm system on Wednesday. Even with the lack of games, there were some good moments. One Binghamton player ended up having a career game en route to a comeback victory, while the Cyclones saw one of their top starters put up another quality outing. Find out more about those games below.
Triple-A
The Syracuse Mets (53-34) had their game against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (48-38) postponed due to inclement weather. They will make up the game as part of a doubleheader on July 11, with Game 1 beginning at 4:05 p.m. ET.

Wednesday night was the Ryan Clifford show out in New Hampshire. His night began in the top of the third when he picked up an RBI double that tied the game at two. Then, he had what ended up being the go-ahead hit with a grand slam in the seventh, followed by another solo home run in the ninth. The six RBIs for Clifford are a season-high.

Ramírez did lead off the game with a home run of his own. He recorded three or more hits in a game for the eighth time this year and it was his second three-hit game of the month.
- RHP Joander Suarez (4.71 ERA): 5 IP, 2 ER, 7 H, BB, 7 K (65 of 91 pitches for strikes)
- RHP Nolan Clenney (4-1, 6.83): 2 IP, 2 ER, 3 H, 4 K (27 of 43 pitches for strikes)
- RHP Cam Robinson (3.38, 1st save): 2 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 2 K (29 of 36 pitches for strikes)
Suarez did allow a run in each of the first two innings, but he was able to limit the damage to just that. At one point in the game, he struck out five batters in a six-batter stretch (3rd and 4th inning). The seven strikeouts are the most that the 24-year-old right-hander has had in a start since he had 10 back on June 1 and June 7.
High-A
Wilmington Blue Rocks (38-44) 6, Brooklyn Cyclones (38-45) 2
- 1B Mateo Gil: 3-for-4, 2B (.680 OPS)
- CF Nick Morabito: 1-for-5, K (.718 OPS)
- SS Wilfredo Lara: 1-for-5, 2B, 2 K (.686 OPS)
- DH Kellum Clark: 2-for-4, R, 2B, K (.569 OPS)
- LF Omar De Los Santos: 1-for-1, 3B, RBI (10), BB, SB (.449 OPS)
While the Cyclones had 10 hits on Wednesday, they went 1-for-10 as a team with runners in scoring position. The only two runs that scored came on a wild pitch in the seventh and an RBI triple by De Los Santos in the ninth. De Los Santos stole a base in the seventh, his 30th steal of the year. Gil ended up having three hits for the second time this year.
- RHP Jonah Tong (3-2, 2.85): 6 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 7 K (53 of 80 pitches for strikes)
- LHP Julian Smith (15.00): 0.1 IP, 3 ER, 0 H, 3 BB (6 of 21 pitches for strikes)
- RHP Jimmy Loper (8.05): 1.2 IP, 2 ER, 3 H, 2 K (19 of 28 pitches for strikes)
Even though Tong took the loss, he only allowed one extra-base hit, and the lone run that scored against him came on an RBI groundout in the bottom of the third. The 21-year-old right-hander has allowed only two runs in his last 16 innings of work, and he has struck out at least seven batters in four consecutive outings.
Low-A
Lakeland Flying Tigers (52-30) 10, St. Lucie Mets (28-55) 2
- DH Estarling Mercado: 1-for-4, 3B, RBI (24), K (.702 OPS)
- RF Yohairo Cuevas: 1-for-3, RBI (23), BB, K (.579 OPS)
- 1B Ronald Hernandez: 2-for-4, R, K (.747 OPS)
- 3B Boston Baro: 1-for-5, K (.725 OPS)
- SS Colin Houck: 1-for-4, 2 K (.626 OPS)
The lone extra-base hit from the St. Lucie offense came off the bat of Mercado when he had an RBI triple in the bottom of the eighth. The 21-year-old has four RBIs over the last four games. The Mets were 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position as a team, and they struck out 11 times.
- RHP Saul Garcia (1-6, 6.58): 4 IP, 5 ER, 5 H, BB, 6 K (46 of 75 pitches for strikes)
- RHP Cristofer Gomez (5.70): 1.2 IP, 4 ER, 2 H, 4 BB, 2 K (19 of 41 pitches for strikes)
- RHP Miguel Alfonseca (5.24): 2.1 IP, 1 ER, 2 H, BB (24 of 36 pitches for strikes)
- RHP Nick Bautista III (8.27): 1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, BB, K (10 of 17 pitches for strikes)
The Flying Tigers got to Garcia early by putting up four runs in the top of the third. The 21-year-old has not picked up a win in 12 consecutive outings (since May 1).
