The little-known holiday park has unveiled a series of forest trails where holidaymakers will be able to explore an ancient woodland.

According to the holiday park’s sales manager, Ellen Vardy, the forest trails have recently opened across the 30-acre site, marking its fifth anniversary.

She said: “The woodland was completely untouched, so we have sensitively incorporated picnic spots, seating areas, bridges and pathways to enable guests to take in some amazing sights, sounds and smells.

“It’s a great place to sit and relax, walk the dog, and enjoy the fresh air.”

The pet-friendly holiday park has 120 spaces on its site, including holiday places for both rental and ownership.

Following a significant investment and modernisation effort, there are plenty of other facilities at the holiday park too, including a high-quality spa with a sauna and steam room.

There’s also a heated indoor swimming pool with activities like mini jet skis, water walkers and body zorbs.

Other facilities include a gym, sports bar and a bistro bar restaurant, with the resort hosting regular music jam sessions too.

Ellen added: “This is such a friendly and welcoming holiday park.

“It’s a special place, the interaction we have with our owners and guests is amazing, and to be a part of their lives is heartwarming.

“Whether they’re having a good day or a bad day, there is a real community feel here, which makes us stand out from some other holiday parks.”

The luxury holiday park has been praised by visitors online with a 4/5 star rating from hundreds of reviews.

One person wrote: “We know you can usually expect high standards with Darwin Escapes, having stayed at two other different resorts.”

A second person added “A lovely resort and accommodation, very organised and well run. We had a lovely week and couldn’t fault our visit.”

Sun Online Travel have found three-night stays for a family of four from £67 per person per night, based on four people sharing.

The Norfolk Woods Resort and Spa is a 20-minute drive from neighbouring King’s Lynn.

Darwin Escapes has plenty of other holiday parks dotted across the UK, including sites in Cornwall, Devon, Kent, Warwickshire and Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, Center Parcs Longleat is opening two new attractions ahead of its 30th anniversary later this year.

A new Adventure Golf course will open in the autumn, between Sports Plaza and the lake.

The course will have nine holes across the nature-themed courses Forest Track and Woodland Way.

There will also be a new extended Leisure Bowl facility, opening in the autumn as well.
