Christina Aguilera’s makeup artist reveals she uses viral gripping primer as fans say she looks like she’s in her 20s
You may not be able to hold pop singer Christina Aguilera down, but you can lock in her makeup.
The 43-year-old popstar’s makeup artist revealed the gripping primer he used on her to prevent products from sliding around.
Etienne Ortega, a Los Angeles-based makeup artist, has a stacked lineup of celebrity clients, including Christina, Demi Lovato, and Kris Jenner.
Ortega opted for Milk Makeup’s $38 Hydro Grip Primer to prep her skin for her performance at the Lovers + Friends Festival during peak Las Vegas heat.
After applying the primer, it was prime time for Christina’s base makeup.
“I went in with the Future Fluid All Over Cream Concealer in shade 11C for lightweight all-over coverage,” Ortega said.
Next, he used a combination of four sticks to add color and dimension to Christina’s face.
A cool-toned contour stick added depth, while a matte bronzer brought warmth.
For her lips and cheeks, Ortega reached for Milk Makeup’s Lip + Cheek in the shade Werk and the brand’s highlighter in Turnt for a blinding glow.
To wrap up the final look, he sealed everything in with a few spritzes of the Hydro Grip Set + Refresh Spray.
“Milk Makeup’s Hydro Grip Primer and Setting Spray were essential in creating a look that would last all through the night,” Ortega said.
People raved about the look, which many felt made her look youthful.
