Homemade explosive goes off outside Gresham home: Deputies
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Federal and county authorities are investigating after a homemade explosive detonated outside of a Gresham home Thursday morning.
At around 3:40 a.m. Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of an explosion in the 7000 block of SE Pleasant Home Road.
On arrival, officials say they found a homemade explosive had gone off near the road in front of the home, with a piece of the device hitting the house, causing minor damage.
Officials say the explosion did not cause a fire and no injuries were reported. Additionally, they say there is no danger to the public at this time.
Both MSCO and the ATF are investigating the incident.
