COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A second woman has been arrested within two weeks in connection to a deadly shooting that took place in north Columbus over a year and a half ago.

According to court documents, Stephanie Moore was arrested in connection to the murder of Juan Pablo Aleman, who was gunned down in the Riverview neighborhood off of Olentangy River Road. An investigation by Columbus police revealed that he was shot to death on January 7, 2023, inside of an apartment. Video surveillance showed four individuals running from the area at 7:34 p.m.

Police identified Aleman as the victim one week later, but the case produced few leads until recently, which led authorities to Amira Reid. The U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested her on June 28 in the 400 block of Southgate Circle in Toledo.

Police said a confidential source reported that Moore admitted she and Reid went to Aleman’s residence in the 500 block of Riverview Drive, under the guise of giving him a private dance and having sex.

When they arrived, they brought along two other unknown males, one of whom reportedly brought a gun. Police said phone records also placed Reid in the area of the murder at 7:30 p.m.

The court affidavit stated that police recovered the victim’s cell phone on June 17, 2024, and a forensic examination revealed that Moore was texting Aleman the day of the homicide. Police said the texts were about making plans to have sex for money at Aleman’s apartment.

A text allegedly read, “We here” at 7:20 p.m. on the night of the shooting.

After a warrant was issued for Moore on July 2, she was arrested eight days later and appeared in Franklin County Municipal Court Thursday morning. A judge issued Moore, charged with murder, a $1 million bond and scheduled a preliminary hearing for July 19.

Reid is also charged with murder and remains in the Lucas County Jail, where she waits to be extradited to Columbus on murder charges.
