HEATH, Ohio (WCMH) -- One of central Ohio's largest homebuilders is planning its first neighborhood in Heath, to be built near the city's upcoming 300-acre downtown district with residential buildings, a community pool, restaurants, parks and more.

Fischer Homes will construct 21 single-family homes off State Route 13 in Heath as part of a development named "Linnview Crossing," marking the first time the company has built in the city. Linnview will offer 10 floor plans from Fischer's "Maple Street Collection," which range from 1,700 to 3,000 square feet.

"We are thrilled to be expanding into this growing area and are excited to bring affordable housing options to the community," said Tim Brader, market president for Fischer Homes' Columbus Division.

The 21 properties are expected to be placed on the market this summer, with construction scheduled to start this fall and full build-out lasting one to two years.

Linnview will be a few miles away from Heath's new $218 million downtown district to be named "Central Park." Phase one of the district will be built on 48 acres near Indian Mound Mall and include four mixed-use buildings, a community center and eight multi-family residential buildings totaling 424 units.

Amenities in this phase will include a clubhouse with a community pool, volleyball courts, green space and recreational trail access. In addition, the mixed-use buildings would be home to 42,000 square feet of commercial retail space expected to be occupied by shops, offices, restaurants and breweries.

The district's second phase would sprawl 24 buildings, including 21 multi-family residential buildings, two restaurants and a senior living facility. Townhomes and single-family homes are also planned, bringing the total number of housing units planned for Central Park to 1,836.
