Judge gives approval for Arizona fake elector to head to Republican convention
Politico legal reporter Kyle Cheney posted a new court document showing Arizona fake Trump elector Nancy Cottle has been given a pass by the court to head to Wisconsin for the Republican National Convention.
Cottle is one of many Republicans roped into the fake electors' plot, but she still hasn't made it to trial beyond indictment. Cottle joins state Sen. Anthony Kern and state Sen. Jake Hoffman in heading to meet up with fellow Republicans who also participated as fake electors.
Cottle wasn't merely a fake elector, however. She chaired the slate of electors for Donald Trump during the 2020 election.

CNN reported that one New Mexico fake elector will be among the delegates to the RNC. Pennsylvania is sending three of its fake electors to Milwaukee. However, these particular electors have not been indicted.
The Arizona delegates obtained permission from the court to travel to and attend the convention while awaiting trial.
“The voters of America, whether they be Republican or Democrat, are not stupid. And they see what’s happening to President (Donald) Trump, they see what’s happening to Anthony Kern here in Arizona,” state Sen. Anthony Kern, R-Glendale, said in a statement to the Arizona Mirror.
Cottle is also a member of the board of the Arizona Coalition of School Boards and a proponent of private charter schools.
There are a total of 18 people indicted in the Arizona fake electors plot.
They include other Republicans like Kelli Ward, Tyler Bowyer, Greg Safsten, James Lamon, Robert Montgomery, Samuel Moorhead, Loraine Pellegrino, Michael Ward as well as top Trump allies Rudy Giuliani and Mark Meadows.
Members of the various committees have already been in Wisconsin for business meetings this week, but the main events and speakers begin on Monday.
