Wooden animal toys were selling for £1.50 on Clubcard price
The toys usually retail for £4

Aimee-jo shared her findings on Facebook after hitting the jackpot.

The animal-shaped toys, which usually retail for £4, were reduced to £1.50 with Clubcard.

On shops like M&S and John Lewis, similar products usually retail for £18 and £12 respectively.

Posting a picture of the toys in her shopping cart, the mum wrote: “Tesco wooden baby toys:)! Clubcard! Lowest £1!!”

Shoppers went wild with the bargain find and left hundreds of comments under Aimee-jo’s post.

Tagging a friend, one user said: “How did we not see this!!”

Another added: “Get them all now.”

A third replied: “Might be worth to keep the babies busy.”

A fourth chimed: “Could get some for Christmas.”

Other customers were not so lucky to get their hands on the wooden toys, with one crying: “Everyone’s Tesco seems better than mine.”

When finding deals online, such as on social media groups like the Extreme Couponing one, you should be aware that the deals might not apply to all branches.

Usually, individual stores tend to reduce items like this when they want to clear excess stock – and this means you need to be quick in spotting and bagging the deal.

It is always worth calling your local store before you visit it to ensure the deal is available there and avoid being disappointed.

It comes after shoppers spotted a “ridiculous” 2p buy which they praised as the “best bargain ever”.

The supermarket giant has slashed the price of the Peter Rabbit 3 Piece Cutlery set – and fans can’t believe their eyes.

The cutlery set, usually sold for £4, is ideal for children and is a popular item over the Easter period.

An eagle-eyed customer spotted the deal and shared it on the Facebook group “Extreme Couponing and Bargains” with the caption: “Best bargain ever from Asda.”

Many were surprised to see the item at such a low price and one commented: “Right place right time xxx.”

Another Facebook user added: “Items reduced to 2pm aren’t meant to be sold so you’ve got lucky.”

How to save money on summer essentials

SUNNIER days and warmer weather will leave many of us wanting to kit out gardens and outdoor areas.

Sun Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to get a great deal on summer essentials…

It pays to know how to bag big savings on the likes of hot tubs paddling pools, egg chairs and outside bars.

Many retailers have flash sales across entire ranges – often this ties into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends.

Sign up to the mailing lists of your favourite brands and you’ll be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

Keep a close eye on the specialbuys at Aldi and middle of Lidl drops which drop a couple of times a week and usually mean great value seasonal items such as beach gear and paddling pools.

If you are not in a hurry to buy an item, try adding it to the shopping cart and leaving it for a couple of days.

Sometimes big brands will try to tempt you into the sale by offering you a discount.

Always check if you can get cashback before paying. It’s especially worth using sites such as Topcashback, Quidco and app Jamdoughnut when buying bigger ticket items such as garden furniture as you’ll get a nice kickback.
