Cole Escola's 'Oh, Mary!' Gets Rave Reviews on Broadway Opening Night, Celebs Step Out to Support!

Cole Escola officially has a Broadway hit with their new play Oh, Mary!

The 37-year-old comedian and actor walked the red carpet at the opening night performance of the play on Thursday (July 11) at the Lyceum Theatre in New York City.

Cole was joined at the event by co-stars Conrad Ricamora, James Scully, Bianca Leigh, and Tony Macht.

Celebs in attendance to support the opening night show included Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall, Ruth Negga, and former Gypsy co-stars Patti LuPone and Laura Benanti.

Oh, Mary! stars Cole as a miserable, suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. The hilarious new play is running for a 12-week engagement through September 15. The show is getting rave reviews all around!

The New York Times calls it “one of the best crafted and most exactingly directed Broadway comedies in years” and Entertainment Weekly says the show is “laugh-out-loud funny from the first moments.”
