Frazer Clarke survived a knockdown to force a split draw against Fabio Wardley in March

One of 2024’s best fights may receive a quick sequel, as the British Boxing Board of Control has ordered Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke to run it back. The pair have until August 14th to come to terms and must share the ring by year’s end.

Clarke (8-0-1, 6 KO) infamously withdrew from an ordered fight last year at Ben Shalom’s behest, instead closing out his 2023 with wins over Mariusz Wach and Dave Allen while Wardley (17-0-1, 16 KO) beat down David Adeleye. Their eventual clash last March proved worth the wait, producing 12 grueling rounds that saw Clarke get off the canvas and seemingly overpower Wardley down the stretch before settling for a split draw.

I’m generally not one for instant rematches, but I’m 100% there for this one. Odds are that both men emerged from that war as better fighters and should once again put on a show when and if they share the ring.
