The film industry and friends are remembering Shelley Duvall, the doe-eyed actress who moved audiences with her versatile onscreen performances and beguiling presence. The actor died in her sleep on Wednesday, July 10, at her Blanco, Texas, home. Following her death at the age of 75, peers and loved ones are sharing their tributes of the star. “Very very sad to hear that the unique and truly wonderful actor — Shelley Duvall has died,” Mia Farrow tweeted. “She leaves us many unforgettable performances.” A young woman named Sarah, who became close with Duvall and runs a prolific fan account devoted to the actor, remembered her fondly. “I’ll always be grateful for the memories I created with her and that I was able to give her comfort and companionship,” Sarah wrote.
