Man Utd have to sign 24yo Euro 2024 star after £25.3m price update, can play in 2 positions - View

Manchester United should grab the opportunity to sign Fenerbahce full-back Ferdi Kadioglu during the ongoing transfer window.

The Red Devils currently have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as their specialist left-backs, but the latter has been injured for the last 14 months.

There is currently no time frame for his comeback to training. With Shaw being injury-prone too, the club are actively searching for a new left-back.

Meanwhile, United may also need to reinforce the right-back department with the possibility of Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaving the club this summer.

The 26-year-old has entered the last year of his contract and the club could bring in an attacking right-back to accompany Diogo Dalot next term.

In our opinion, Kadioglu would be an ideal acquisition to fulfil both roles at United.

The Turkey international started off his career as an attacking midfielder and a right winger, but he has been transformed into a quality full-back.

Kadioglu made 51 appearances for Fenerbahce last season, registering three goals and five assists. 42 of those games came from the left-back role.

Aside from his goal involvements, the 24-year-old had a passing accuracy of 85 percent and managed to create 10 big chances in the Super Lig.

The NEC Nijmegen graduate was also brilliant defensively with 5.9 duels and two tackles won per game alongside 6.7 recoveries and 1.6 clearances.

He was likewise impressive for Turkey at the European Championship. He has made the joint-most tackles (18) despite his country’s quarter-final exit.

There is currently competition from Juventus, Liverpool and Newcastle United for his services, but United are deemed to be ‘above all‘ in the pursuit.

Fenerbahce are eyeing at least £25.3 million to part ways with Kadioglu. It appears a no-brainer decision for the Red Devils to sign him for that price.
