Love Island couple had to be ‘separated’ after landing in hot water with producers in moment not shown on TV

LOVE Island’s Lucy Graybill and Diamanté Laiva have revealed that one couple frequently got in trouble with producers in moments that did not make it to air.

The two ex-contestants were savagely axed from the show after failing to win the hearts of the boys in Casa Amor.

But they have now shared that Ayo Odukoya and newbie Jessica Spencer had a moment off-camera that landed them in hot water.

Spilling the tea, Lucy told OK!: “Jess S and Ayo were inseparable the whole time.”

Diamanté added: “It was cute though – there were times at dinner where the producers would have to stand between them like, ‘No conversation! Don’t talk – you’re in trouble!’

“But they would talk with their eyes from across the villa. It was absolutely crazy.”

The duo mentioned that filming does not take place during meal times and that the boys and girls were separated.

As a result, producers are vigilant about preventing any big conversations/moments from happening during these breaks.

Lucy explained: “We weren’t too far apart – we could still see each other. We were just sat separately so we couldn’t have our conversations.”

Lucy and Diamanté were brutally dumped last week following a Casa Amor recoupling.

Diamante was seen coming to blows with Matilda and Sean at the firepit before she was booted off.

Presenter Maya Jama asked her if there was anything she wanted to say on AfterSun, to which she replied: “It’s a bit weird how you can tell someone they’re your priority and this is how you treat your priority.”

Matilda snapped back: “You’re not sat here, babe.”

She added: “I actually was, when Sean was giving his speech he said he was confused, and he was saying he found connections in Casa and as he was saying that I was thinking, ‘are we about to couple up?’

“I think he chose the safe option to stick with Matilda. He’s perhaps not as genuine as we all thought he was…”

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
