MAGA Senate candidate's church pastor rants about transgender-promoting 'demons'

Sam Brown, an army veteran who is running for the United States Senate in Nevada, attends a church who believes that transgender rights are being promoted by "demons" who are coming directly "from Satan."

The Daily Beast reports that Brown is a member of Calvary Chapel Reno Sparks, whose leader pastor, Phil McKay, regularly goes off on QAnon-style rants about "transgenderism" being part of a global Marxist plot.

“This ideology is coming... from Satan,” said McKay earlier this year, referring to the campaign for transgender rights. “I believe it’s coming from demons.”

McKay has also decried the acceptance of homosexuality, which is something that Brown communications director Kristy Wilkinson tried to distance the candidate from.

“Sam does not believe same sex marriage should be overturned," she said. "He believes adults involved in loving relationships should have the freedom to experience the joys of marriage."
