A 5-year-old has been taken to the hospital after being accidentally shot Friday morning, police say.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A 5-year-old has been taken to the hospital after being accidentally shot Friday morning, police say.

According to police, the incident happened in a neighborhood near NW Expressway and Council Rd.

Officials say a 4-year-old found a firearm and accidentally shot a 5-year-old in the leg. The injured child was taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition.
