Bring on the upper 80s on Friday!

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – It's a thousand times better today, or to be more precise, 10 degrees cooler compared to last Friday. Just a week ago we started that terrible heat wave setting a new record at 99 degrees. We would go on to break more daily records for a total of five days. Whew, glad that's over.

Today we're getting ready for a picture-perfect weather day with temperatures reaching the upper 80's. It's all relative, though. When you come out of the low 100s, that's going to make the upper 80s and low 90s feel like champagne and caviar dreams. A reminder our normal daytime high is 82 degrees for mid-July in Portland.

We have no rain in the forecast for the next seven days. At best you'll see the clouds hugging the coastline this weekend in the morning hours. Otherwise, it's sunshine full-time. Get outside and enjoy the weather that you ran away from last weekend.
