One arrested after body found in Albany home

One person has been arrested in a suspicious death investigation in Albany. The Albany County Sheriff's Office said they found a body at a home on the 300-block of Sheridan Avenue.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- One person has been arrested in a suspicious death investigation in Albany. The Albany County Sheriff's Office said they found a body at a home on the 300-block of Sheridan Avenue.

During a proactive crime suppression detail, the Sheriff's Office said they received information about a deceased person at that address. A search warrant was executed Friday morning where they found the decomposed body.

An autopsy is being done this morning and the identity of the person has not been determined, said the Sheriff's Office. The suspect, whose identity has not be released, is in custody and is being charged with concealment of a human corpse, which is a felony. The investigation is ongoing.
