More Scattered Storms in Acadiana Today

A few coastal showers are possible this morning followed by another round of scattered storms during the afternoon for all of Acadiana. Rain chances return to 50% as a few storms could produce torrential rains and strong winds but the severe weather risk remains slim. Otherwise, high temperatures are expected to near 92° with a heat index over 100°. Rain cooled air should be more prominent late in the afternoon into the evening hours.

Hotter and quieter weather is in the forecast this weekend as highs make a push into the upper 90s with only isolated rain chances.
