‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Untucked’ season 6 episode 10 recap: ‘Lip-Sync Lalaparuza Smackdown’

“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” continued its 9th season on Friday, July 12 with the 10th episode featuring returning queens from seasons past. In the sister series “Untucked,” now in its 6th “All Stars” season, the queens throw back a cocktail and dish the dirt backstage on the latest challenge. Check out our recap of “Untucked” episode 10 below.

This week the queens battled on stage in a tournament of lip sync champions for the chance to earn one of two coveted Beautiful Benefactress Badges up for grabs. While the winners of each battle would remain on stage to compete, the losers returned to the Werk Room one by one to watch the antics play out. Once it was decided that Shannel and Roxxxy Andrews were the final two, all of the queens were together to discuss the tournament.

Everyone gave Roxxxy her flowers for remaining the lip sync assassin of the series for earning her eighth straight win and keeping an undefeated record. Shannel was the surprise of the season, proving herself for a second week in a row and raising her badge total to three. Jorgeous pointed out that this result was special because they’re both “drag legends” from earlier seasons than the rest of them. Roxxxy and Shannel both explained that lip syncs have been a staple of their career for so long out of necessity and they all need to find their own way of performing in order to entertain the audience. Shannel said that she watched showgirls on the Vegas strip and learned from the way they move their fingers so elegantly in order to develop her own “handography” on stage.

We also saw the top two prepare for their final lip sync that Roxxxy ended up winning before the queens returned to the Werk Room again. With five badges in Roxxxy’s pocket now, it was clear that she was the frontrunner, but they were all aware that RuPaul Charles kept telling them there will be chances for any of them to earn their way into the final three before the end of the competition. Ru also advised that next week the “Grand Finale” would begin in a first part of a two-part episode and that the final three won’t be decided until the final moments. Based on the hints, the queens contemplated what the twist could be and if there’s a chance that they’d get to vote for or against each other in the end.
