What team are you picking from our current squad to fit the remit of:
“Principle, we’re pressing to score, not to defend. Our pressing is going to be our biggest strength.”
Given that this means we need to be high up the pitch I'd go with Allsop in goal who will play as a sweeper keeper.
We'll need to quick energetic full backs and centre halves who can get the ball through the lines quickly.
High energy combative midfielders who can pass.
Quick wingers and mobile strikers.
We absolutely do not have the team or squad to play this way at the moment. May will press loads looking at him, I don't know enough about the new lad on the wing but I don't see Miyoshi or Dembele doing that effectively.
Really exciting to hear that's the way we want to play, going to need to do quite a bit of squad augmentation to make it a reality though.
