The Clover collection is a minimalist furniture collection by the Bainbridge Island-based design studio, Grain. Consisting of a series of side and coffee tables made entirely of cork, the collection showcases Grain’s innovative use of sustainable materials and keen ability to design furniture that is simultaneously whimsical and architecturally grounded. 

Available in a natural cork color, dark brown, or a graphic mix of the two, the latter of the two colorways is achieved through a “toasting” process, where discolored or otherwise unusable pieces of cork are re-colored with a rich chocolate hue. This process allows Grain’s founding designers, Chelsea and James Minola, to eliminate potential waste and transform the material to create aesthetically sound and functional furniture.

Using Portuguese cork — a rapidly renewable, hypoallergenic, and moisture and fire-resistant material —  the Clover side and coffee table designs are an extension of Grain’s dedication to creating beautiful and environmentally responsible pieces for the home.
