Princess Anne Returns to Royal Duty Following Hospitalization for Horse-Related Injury

Princess Anne is getting back to work.

The 73-year-old Princess Royal, who is the younger sister of King Charles, was all smiles as she paid a visit to the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships at Hartpury University and Hartpury College on Friday (July 12) in Gloucester, England.

The event marked the 55th anniversary of the RDA, which Princess Anne has been the Patron of since November 1971 and assume the role of President in March 1986.

“As our President, The Princess holds a very special place in the hearts of the entire RDA community and has helped us celebrate many significant milestones and provided invaluable support for over five decades,” the statement continued.

The event also marked Princess Anne‘s first official royal appearance since she was hospitalized following a horse-related incident.

On June 24, Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Anne sustained a concussion and minor injuries in the accident at her country home the day before. See her first message since the incident.
