Love Island stars ‘break huge show rule’ ahead of watching England as they’re desperate to find out surprising fact

LOVE Island contestants discovered the results of the UK election after huge show rules were broken.

The Sun can exclusively reveal that despite measures to keep current affairs out of the villa outside information was leaked.

ITV bosses have no idea how the cast found out, claiming that the “main rule” for bombshells is not to speak about current affairs.

However, we also revealed that the producers decided to bend the rules and let the islanders watch England’s Euro final on Sunday.

An insider revealed: “The islanders do actually know the result of the election – the main rule when bombshells go in is that they’re not allowed to tell the cast any information about the outside world, but the result of the election has leaked into the villa so they know.

“Huge news like that does tend to get given away by bombshells,” they explained.

It was announced earlier this month that Labour would replace the Conservatives in power after a 14-year run.

The insider revealed that the islanders are encouraged to vote while they are on the show.

“It’s not something that will be mentioned on the show but islanders were encouraged to vote by proxy before they went into the villa so they will have wanted to hear the result,” they added.

This comes after the Islanders were granted access to TVs on Sunday night to watch the match after ITV bosses “didn’t want them to miss out”.

The Three Lions roared their way to victory with a 2-1 win over the Netherlands in the semi-final.

A source told us: “ITV bosses don’t want the villa to miss out so the huge decision has been made to show it on a big screen – they’ll be watching it while AfterSun is on live on Sunday.

“The rule has always been that NO outside info goes into the villa – bombshells are banned from even saying who won the general election – but this is a very special exception.”

The strict rule to ban outside information from entering the villa has been flouted before.

When England reached the 2020 final against Italy the cast were allowed to watch on a big screen.

This year’s cohort will be hoping for a different outcome as Italy triumphed on penalties on that occasion.
