'Presumed Innocent' Renewed for Season 2 by Apple TV+

Presumed Innocent is coming back for a second season!

Ahead of the season one finale on July 24, Variety confirmed on Friday (July 12) that Apple TV+ had renewed the legal drama from David E. Kelly for a second season.

Presumed Innocent is based on the novel of the same name by Scott Turow. Jake Gyllenhaal currently stars in season one as Rusty Sabich, a prosecutor who is accused of murdering one of his colleagues. The cast also includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, and Renate Reinsve.

Apple claims that Presumed Innocent is the most-viewed drama on the streaming service’s history since its premiere on June 12, however, the platform did not provide viewership numbers to support that claim.

So far this year, Apple TV+ has canceled 4 TV shows and renewed 9 others.
