'RHOC' Star Shannon Beador Shares Why She's Still Drinking After DUI Arrest

Shannon Beador is opening up about her DUI arrest.

Back in September 2023, the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested on DUI and hit-and-run charges after crashing her car into a home in Newport Beach, Calif.

She was sentenced to three years of informal probation and was ordered to pay various fines, complete 40 hours of community service, and finish a nine-month alcohol program.

After the season 18 premiere of RHOC on Thursday night (July 11), Shannon appeared on Watch What Happens Live where she revealed that she’s still drinking alcohol, but said she keep now keeps herself “accountable” when she drinks.

Keep reading to find out more…“I admit this quite often this season. I was using alcohol — and I have in my life multiple times — as a coping mechanism, so now I use breathing and walking outside and cold packs and different coping mechanisms,” Shannon shared.

“Right now, I can have a couple of drinks, and I’m accountable to me,” she continued. “So if I find that alcohol becomes an issue for me then I’ll address it. But for now, I’m good.”

Host Andy Cohen then asked Shannon if she’s required to use a breathalyzer when she gets in her car.

“You have to blow and hum together,” Shannon explained. “It took a while to get the blow and hum down but I’ve got it now.”
