Warriors would like to find extensions for Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody

Kendra Andrews: Dunleavy says he’d like to find extensions for Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody. As for Curry’s extension, that’s also huge a priority. “That guy can get whatever he wants… I think that stuff will get figured out and he’ll be a Warrior for life.”

Anthony Slater: Mike Dunleavy on the Hield/Anderson/Melton additions and the concern about the shooting on the roster. “In terms of volume and accuracy, we need guys to shoot the 3 more. Moses, Wiggs, BP, JK, all those guys I think can make shots.” pic.twitter.com/1KBbKBXHcZ -via Twitter @anthonyVslater / July 12, 2024
The Warriors offered multiple combinations of expiring contracts, young players and an unprotected 2027 first-round pick, sources said. The Clippers countered by asking for prized youngster Jonathan Kuminga, sources said. The Warriors resisted because Kuminga is so important to their own future, sources said, but also because they worried George wouldn’t be as interested in joining them if they gave up too much to get him. -via ESPN / July 2, 2024
Any possible PG13 trade between the Warriors and Clippers was always going to be complicated, but Warriors executives thought they’d solved the puzzle. From what I’ve heard, some combination (but definitely not all) of Wiggins, CP3, Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody plus one future first-round pick were put into discussions with the Clippers. -via New York Times / June 30, 2024

From what I’ve heard, some combination (but definitely not all) of Wiggins, CP3, Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody plus one future first-round pick were put into discussions with the Clippers. There were versions that would’ve limited the Clippers’ long-term money liability; there were versions that would’ve increased the future benefits. I’m told the Warriors likely would not have put Wiggins and Kuminga together into any offer, but also that it never got that far, anyway. If that’s what would’ve closed the deal … who knows. -via New York Times / June 30, 2024
