Heat & humidity building through the weekend, spotty rain chances
Temperatures are back above average to end off the work week. We've seen very spotty showers move through the area, but most of us have remained dry. Going into the weekend and next week, temperatures are still on the rise with humidity on the way as well.

Temperatures are back above average to end off the work week. We've seen very spotty showers move through the area, but most of us have remained dry. Going into the weekend and next week, temperatures are still on the rise with humidity on the way as well.
For the rest of tonight, we're trending much drier with skies getting clearer. We're pretty warm overnight too with temperatures falling to around 70 degrees. Saturday will remain mostly sunny and dry with temperatures climbing soundly into the lower 90s. There will be a little more humidity in the air, so we'll feel a few degrees warmer than the actual temperature.
The humidity continues to build going into Sunday. Temperatures are slightly warmer as well, so the heat index will push into the upper 90s. Given how hot & humid it will be, there is a better potential to see spotty showers & storms throughout the afternoon & evening.
Monday & Tuesday will be the peak of the heat index across Central Ohio with better chances to feel like triple digits. There are still spotty chances for rain for the start of next week, but better chances arrive on Tuesday. Most of the rain falls overnight, lingering partly into Wednesday.
The cold front next week will provide near instant relief from the heat. Temperatures fall into the mid to lower 80s for the second half of next week. Humidity takes a major hit as well. Skies gradually turn clear and sunny by next Thursday & Friday.
