'He was lying': Trump's own niece says he 'knows exactly what's in Project 2025'

Mary Trump minced no words Friday: Project 2025 is a "fascist playbook" — and her lying uncle absolutely knew what was in it, despite his desperate attempt at distancing himself from it.

Former President Donald Trump recently wrote that he knew "nothing about Project 2025" and had "no idea" who was behind it." This despite reporting that "six of his former Cabinet secretaries helped write or collaborated on the 900-page playbook," and that nearly 240 people have ties to the playbook and Trump.

And, as Mary Trump notes in her newsletter, "The Good In Us," if that wasn't convincing enough, Donald himself spoke to the Heritage Foundation two years ago, the think tank behind Project 2025.

“We have shown the power of our winning formula working closely with many of the great people at Heritage," Donald Trump said. "We've worked with you a lot. We’re gonna work on some other things that are going to be very exciting. . . . I think maybe the most exciting of all."

So when her uncle insists that what the foundation has said is "absolutely ridiculous and abysmal," "he was lying," she asserts.

"My uncle likes to call America a stupid country," wrote Mary Trump.

"But we’re not nearly as stupid as he hopes we are, because we definitely know that he knows exactly what’s in Project 2025, the fascist playbook put together by Trump administration insiders and the Heritage Foundation—because it was written for him."

She doubled down — for anyone who believes Trump's lies at this point, with all the evidence tying him to Project 2025, "I’ve got a South Florida resort filled with illegally acquired national secrets to sell you."

"The truth is that Donald Trump’s Project 2025 (which is how we must refer to it from now on) is terrifying—a real and perfect distillation and embodiment of all of the dystopian horrors Donald will visit on this country if he gets back into power," she wrote Friday, later adding: "None of us will be safe."

Mary Trump said every citizen should know what the playbook is, but also who is behind it and that he fully embraces it. He will "enact every single policy outlined in it if by some tragic chance he gets back into the White House," said Mary Trump.
