In view of the fact that the Ministry’s role is beyond production but flows into storage, processing, distribution mechanisms, marketing, packaging, quality assurance, logistics, farmland allocation and management, Mr Governor has approved the change in nomenclature of the Ministry to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems which brings into focus all the activities that ensures sustainable food production to the point of safe and sustainable consumption by residents of the State
