‘Seriously impressive’ say Amazon shoppers as 55-inch Fire TV is slashed from £550 to £330 for Prime members
PRIME DAY is almost here, and Amazon has slashed its line of Fire TVs in an early-bird treat for Prime members.
Best of all, I reckon, is the discount on the Amazon 55-inch 4-series Fire TV, which has dropped from £549.99 to £329.99.

Prime Day kicks off next Tuesday (16th July), but there are plenty of exclusive prices drops already available on Amazon’s very own smart devices.
I’ve been covering the 48-hour sale frenzy for some time now, and Amazon often surprises its shoppers with a range of early-bird Prime deals, and this year the crop is particularly good.
Significant price reductions have already hit the popular Fire TV line-up with the sale approaching in just four days.
One standout is the 55-inch 4-series 4K Fire TV, which has dropped from a hefty £549.99 to an enticing £329.99.
The only catch is that you must be a Prime member to take advantage of it, or sign up for the 30-day free trial; well worth it with savings of £220 up for grabs.
The last time I spotted this model on sale was way back on Black Friday when its price dropped dramatically to £149 from the usual £550.
I always advise against shelling out full price for such budget-friendly smart tech. Amazon often throws these unexpected sales, in addition to their regular events in July, October, and Black Friday hustle and bustle.
This 55-inch gem is my favourite, especially with the recent price drop. It’s perfect for 4K viewing and comes with the Alexa Voice Remote, so you can control your TV just by talking to it.
Other sizes within the product line-up are also discounted, including the larger 55-inch model and its smaller counterparts. I have the 32-inch 2-Series myself, perfect for bedroom spaces.

Customers are certainly impressed by the 55-inch 4-series, with buyer reviews giving it an average 4.4 out of 5 rating.
Describing it as “seriously impressive”, one shopper said: “Whilst this is a budget television, this still delivers an incredible viewing experience. The HDR colours just pop with vibrance and the clarity of images is as sharp as you’d expect from a 4k television.”
Another wrote: “Have to say, well impressed with it… It replaces a 10+-year-old 37-inch LG TV and [I] can notice the quality straight away in the picture, even while just watching Standard Definition TV.”
