Large crowd gathers for SummerNight block party in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Thousands packed into the heart of the Electric City Friday night for Schenectady's SummerNight. The biggest block party of the summer on State Street is in its 19th year.

Vendors lined the street to showcase local businesses, restaurants and craft brewers. This year's headlining act was two-time Grammy Award winner Arrested Development.

Around 20,000 people were expected at the event.
