Everton Star Rejects Approach From Club, Wants Premier League Stay
One of Everton’s in demand stars has rejected an offer to move to the Saudi Pro League this summer as he wants to remain in the Premier League.
Sean Dyche has already added to his squad in the ongoing window with the arrivals of Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam, while Ben Godfrey and Lewis Dobbin have been sold.
The future of midfielder Amadou Onana at Everton has been under the scanner this summer due to interest from several clubs in the Premier League and Europe.
Everton are expected to sell him if a club decide to match their asking price of £50m in the ongoing transfer window.
Saudi outfit Al-Ahli made an approach to Onana’s representatives, but the player knocked back their offer, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Pro League outfit were keen to tempt the Everton midfielder to the Middle East.
A three-year contract was put on the table for him to consider but he rejected the offer from the Saudi club.
The midfielder is not interested in moving to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career and wants to stay in the Premier League.
He will wait for offers from clubs in the Premier League rather than move to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Whether Onana might reconsider if he does not get the Premier League offers he wants remains to be seen.
