Love Island star Uma Jammeh’s sister hints that ITV2 show is FAKE with cryptic post

LOVE Island star Uma Jammeh’s sister has sparked a fakery row with a cryptic new post.

Peta Jammeh, who has supported her sibling since she quit the ITV2 show this week to be with her man Wil Anderson, shared a cryptic post on social media that hinted the series is fake.

The last scene of the MTV show appeared to nod to the show being scripted

Uma’s sis Peta shared a clip of the final scene of MTV reality series The Hills to her instagram stories, captioning it: “Shout out to @Wilandersonn. Anyone here a fan of The Hills? Iykyk.”

She added a video camera and heart emojis.

The final scene of The Hills saw Brody Jenner, son of Olympic legend and Kardashians star Caitlyn Jenner, saying an emotional goodbye to love interest Kristin Cavallari in front of the Hollywood sign.

But in a shock twist, as Kristin drove off, the scenery behind Brody began to move and as the camera panned out, viewers saw that he was actually on a studio backlot with crew working behind him.

Many interpreted the scene as an admission that the series was scripted all along.

Brody said at the time of the controversial scene: “Well that’s one of the questions that was always asked in the show, ‘Is it real or is it fake?’ And we kinda left everybody with ‘Well you’ll never know what’s real and what’s fake.’”

Now, with Peta sharing the meme, which was then re-shared by Wil himself, doubt has been cast about how genuine what we see unfold on Love Island actually is.

That said, however, the show’s stars as well as production have always insisted nothing about the show is scripted.

ITV said in a statement back in 2022: “It is absolutely untrue to suggest that Love Island is fake, staged or scripted.

“The opinions they have and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves.”

And this week All Stars favourite Casey O’Gorman told The Sun that Love Island is the real deal.

“I think it’s ridiculous that people think it’s set up,” he said. The emotions of when you are walking back into Casa you can’t set that up you’d need actual actors.

Peta has been a strong supporter of Wil and Uma’s relationship since they left the villa.

She has shared snaps of the pair on their first date since arriving back in the UK, captioning the images: “Purr”.

Uma wore a white ruffled skirt and a cropped shirt as Wil matched her in a white padded jacket and grey jeans.

The pair headed out in London for the night out and shared snaps at their hotel on social media.

Uma also shared a message to her fans, thanking them for their support.

“Just wanted to say a major thank you to everyone,” she wrote.

“Honestly you are all such angels.

“I had the most special experience ever and I met such amazing people in there that will be a part of me forever.

“I am honestly so full of joy right now.

I love you all and thank you for everything. Hugs and kisses to everyone.”

Uma has racked up more than 300k Instagram followers since joining the show.

She decided to leave the villa earlier this week after Wil was voted off the island.

Speaking about her reasons for following her man out of the villa, she said: I knew where my head and heart was at and it’s with Wil so I wanted to be true to my feelings for him.

“We can’t wait to just do normal things on the outside, stay inside and have a takeaway and go on cute dates.

“Wil wants to take me to Whitley Bay to see where he’s from but we’ve also discussed him possibly moving to London so I’m looking forward to the future with him. The only way is up from here.”

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
