Dani Carvajal is married to Daphne Canizares, the twin sister of Melanie Canizares.
Melanie is a flight attendant and model who is married to Dani’s former Real Madrid and current Spain teammate Joselu.
This means the Spanish internationals are brother-in-laws.
Both players came through the ranks at Madrid around the same time and met their respective partners during the early stages of their careers.
Joselu and Melanie got married in 2016 and have been together for well over a decade, with Dani and Daphne following suit and exchanging vows years later.
Daphne was born in Madrid on May 30, 1990, and grew up in a poor family.
She dreamt of becoming a model, and went on to work with major clothing and jewellery brands, star in TV ads and take part in fashion shows.
Daphne owns a company called Blue Weddings, which specialises in organising social events.
She also works as a professional model and influencer — she has been paid to promote products on her Instagram, where she has over 267k followers.

How did Dani Carvajal and Daphne Canizares meet
Dani and Daphne reportedly met through her twin sister Melanie, who is married to Al Gharafa and Spain striker Joselu, and started dating in October 2018.
At the end of 2020, the couple welcomed their first child — a boy named Martin.
Following the birth, Daphne took a break from her modelling career.
In July 2023, the couple welcomed their second child — another boy named Mauro.
Daphne announced the exciting news via Instagram, posting: “We are very happy to share with you that we will be parents again in a few months.
“Mauro, we are looking forward to holding you in our arms and giving you all the love in the world.”

Dani and Daphne got married in 2022, having dated since 2018.
The couple enjoyed a June wedding at a rustic former Franciscan convent in Ayllón, Segovia, Spain.
They tied the knot in front of just 250 close friends and family, and were even serenaded on stage by a singer during the ceremony.
Unsurprisingly, Daphne organised the big day herself, as she owns and runs a company specialising in organising such events.
