Deputies: Albany man arrested in suspicious death investigation

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of an Albany man in connection with a suspicious death investigation. Steven Herbst, 42, was charged with concealment of a human corpse on Thursday.

Deputies say they received information about a dead body at Herbst's home on Sheridan Avenue in Albany, prompting a search warrant execution. According to the Sheriff's Office, human remains were located but there was no sign of foul play in the death following an autopsy.

Herbst was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court. He was then placed in the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
