Three apprehended inside flipped car that deputies pursued near Grove City
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Three people were apprehended by law enforcement Friday evening after a short pursuit near Grove City.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, a car passed a DUI checkpoint at 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of US Route 62 and Parlin Drive. Deputies in cruisers began to pursue the vehicle, which ended up flipping on its side near State Route 665.
As deputies approached the flipped car they found three people inside including one juvenile. All three were apprehended while the driver was taken to a hospital with a suspected broken ankle. Deputies also recovered a gun inside the vehicle.
No law enforcement was injured in the incident as the FCSO says charges against the driver are pending.
