McCullough, Harrow Lead Circle Tap Past Pueblo Bandits Friday Night at Boys of Summer Tournament

Devon McCullough was dominant in the circle, as the starting pitcher rang up 13 strikeouts in Circle Tap Dukes’s 10-0 victory over Pueblo Bandits on Friday. Devon McCullough allowed three hits and zero runs over six innings while walking one.

Circle Tap Dukes opened the scoring in the second after Matt Harrow doubled, scoring three runs.

Circle Tap Dukes scored five runs on three hits in the top of the sixth inning. Cody Smith drew a walk, scoring one run, Ryan Sinclair drew a walk, scoring one run, Tyler Johnson tripled, scoring two runs, and Callum Beashel singled, scoring one run.

Matej Macas took the loss for Pueblo Bandits. The starting pitcher went five and one-third innings, allowing seven runs (five earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking two.

Matt Harrow, the number seven hitter for Circle Tap Dukes, led the way with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Tyler Johnson, Callum Beashel, Matt Harrow, and Tyler Damon each collected two hits for Circle Tap Dukes. Circle Tap Dukes worked the count all day, tallying five walks.

Chris Norris, Anton Brown, and Caleb Roberts each collected one hit for Pueblo Bandits. Pueblo Bandits turned one double play in the game.

Next up for Circle Tap Dukes is a game against Peguis Redmen 18O on Saturday.
