Simplistic A/Fuel Chevy, what can it make??

Just a topic for discussion, and toying with an idea. BBC, Solid alumn block, big port, fairly modern solid 24 deg conventional style heads, close to 500cfm capable. 4.250 bore, 3.900 stroke, 12.1 static cr, single 44 mag, 3.00" 8-stack port injection, single 20gpm pump. 90% in the tank. Realistically like an old A/FD Pro-Comp engine but with better heads and internals. Could this combo make 2500hp once tuned up correctly? And yes I know Spuds well! He's the man, and does my blown alky fuel...
