When, where, and how to watch the Hearts vs Spurs pre-season friendly
Tottenham Hotspur kick off their pre-season campaign in the coming days, with a friendly against Scottish side Hearts. Here’s when the game takes place, how you can watch it, and what players will be available.
At the end of last season, Spurs rounded off the campaign with a controversial post-season friendly against Newcastle United. The game took place in Australia, just a few days after the Premier League campaign ended.
That was the last time Tottenham fans saw their players in action, so anticipation is high for the upcoming friendly against Hearts.
Ange Postecoglou may be without a few players due to international commitments, but here’s a look at what the situation may be.
When and where is the game?
Tottenham travel to Scotland to play Hearts at their Tynecastle Park stadium. The game will take place on Wednesday July 17, 2024.
The match is lined up for a 7:00PM BST kick-off.

Spurs vs Hearts team news
Tottenham should go into the game with a relatively full squad, with only a handful of players missing that have been taking part in Euro 2024 and Copa America.
Guglielmo Vicario, Radu Dragusin, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg all saw their sides fall at the second-round stage of Euro 2024 early in July. However, they will likely be rested until later this month and given an extended break from club duty.
Meanwhile, Micky van de Ven and the Netherlands progressed to the semi-final stage, and the young defender will definitely not be asked to take part in the friendly.
Across the pond, the likes of Cristian Romero, Giovani Lo Celso, and Rodrigo Bentancur have all been in action in Copa America, and will be in a similar position to the Euro 2024 participants.
Aside from that, there are no injuries to report at this time, so we should see a strong outing from Spurs, with a mix of experienced players and, hopefully, youngsters that have been working with the first-team squad, like Tyrese Hall and Mikey Moore.
New signings Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray could well make their Tottenham debuts.
The Spurs Web prediction
Pre-season games are often more about performance and fitness than result, so it’s hard to predict which way this one will go. You’d like to think that, whatever lineup Postecoglou goes for, we’d have enough to see off Hearts, though.
