  • Cooling down by Friday

HEAT ADVISORY: Heat advisory in effect from Saturday and remain in effect until 8pm Monday for all of Northeastern Kansas.

Temperatures tonight will fall into the middle 70s. The winds will remain from the south at 10 to 15 MPH. A few storms likely before sunrise on Sunday. Lingering clouds through the morning that will start to clear out late morning.

Temperatures tomorrow looking to be slightly warmer. Temperatures creeping close to lower 100s. Heat indices jumping to triple digits by the early afternoon. Moderate winds out of the south will only help bring in hotter weather for this weekend.

Our next several days look to be mostly dry as mostly sunny weather dominates the Central Plains. By Sunday we are looking at temperatures in the lower 100s. Heat indices near 110 degrees by the start of next week. Find ways to stay cool as high temperatures will linger into Tuesday. Finally a relief from the heat arriving after a cooler front on Tuesday night. Next rain chances arriving Wednesday.
