25 yrs of Kargil war: IAF recalls 'Op Safed Sagar', pays homage to fallen heroes

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its victory in the 1999 Kargil war, marking the silver jubilee of its participation. The IAF flew thousands of strike missions and helicopter sorties to support the Army's efforts in fighting against Pakistan. The event, attended by over 5,000 spectators, included a wreath-laying ceremony by IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari, a static display of IAF helicopters, and performances by the Air Warrior Drill Team and the Air Force Band.
