A suspect linked with the discovery of human remains in suitcases at Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol uttered five chilling words as he fled the scene.

Police were called to the landmark after witnesses saw Yostin Andres Mosquera ‘acting suspiciously’ as he exited a taxi around midnight on July 10.

He was challenged after his suitcase – later revealed to contain human remains – was seen leaking blood.

One witness, a cyclist, chased the 34-year-old Colombian national while filming him until the suspect turned around and appeared to push him.

Mosquera delivered an eerie message to the pursuer before disappearing into the night, MailOnline reported.

He yelled ‘vete, vete’ – meaning ‘go away, go away’ – before adding ‘mi jefe es muy malo’, Spanish for ‘my boss is really bad’.

Stills from the video – showing a bearded Mosquera wearing a backpack, black clothes and an Adidas cap – were shared by police as they hunted the suspect.

Armed officers have since arrested a 34-year-old man at Temple Meads train station in Bristol on Saturday.

The man was taken to London for questioning as part of a joint operation involving the Metropolitan Police and Avon & Somerset Police.

The taxi driver is helping officers with the investigation.

Human remains were found in a suitcase on Clifton Suspension Bridge, in another case located nearby, and at an address in Shepherd’s Bush, London.

Police confirmed there are two male victims, although formal identification is yet to take place.

They had arrested another man, 36, in Greenwich in connection with the investigation before releasing him without charge. They are not looking for anyone else in connection with the case.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine said: ‘This is a significant development in our investigation and I would like to thank the public for their support.

‘We understand the concerns of local communities in both Bristol and London and officers will remain in the Clifton and Shepherd’s Bush areas over the coming days to reassure those affected by this tragic incident.’

A helicopter was seen circling above Scotts Road in Shepherd’s Bush on Friday afternoon as officers cordoned off an area of bins below a high-rise building, with a private ambulance arriving at 6.30pm.

Forensic officers wearing blue suits and masks could be seen working behind the cordon at the crime scene in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, on Saturday morning.

Neighbours named the men who lived at an address that police were searching on Friday in Scotts Road as Paul and Albert.

They spoke with police officers at the cordon, where a forensics van was parked, before heading in the direction of the address on Scotts Road.

A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘While searching a flat in Scotts Road, W12 on Friday, July 12, officers found human remains which are in the process of being sensitively removed.

‘Additional post-mortem examinations will be arranged as soon as possible.

‘At this early stage, officers believe that the remains are connected to the human remains found in Bristol, and that there are still two male victims.

‘Officers believe they know the identity of the two men, although formal identification is yet to take place. Enquiries continue to locate and inform their next of kin.’
