Minor League Recap: Logan Allen has a Solid First Start for Columbus

Minor League Recap for Sunday, July 14th, 2024

Clippers 4, Indians 3

Logan Allen went five innings allowing four hits, two walks and striking out seven for Columbus. I think we’re going to need the walk count hit zero before we start clamoring for him to return topside, but it was a good start. Andrew Walters struck out two in a scoreless ninth and Kyle Manzardo was 2 for 4 with a double.

Fightin’ Phils 1, Rubber Ducks 0

A blah game for the Akron hitters, but Aaron Davenport had another solid start, giving up one hit, three walks, one run and striking out four.

Lugnuts 2, Captains 1

Angel Genao went 2 for 3 with a walk, Jake Fox went 3 for 4, and Cooper Ingle had two walks, but that wasn’t enough even as Tugboat Wilkinson gave up only one unearned run giving up four hits, one walk and striking out seven.

Hillcats 8, Shorebirds 2

Christian Knapczyk had a double, three walks and three RBI to lead the Hillcats and Wuilfredo Antunez went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Yorman Gomez got the win going five scoreless and five strikeouts.

Tommy Hawke also had three straight steals, including one of home!

ACL Guardians 7, ACL Reds 1

Welbyn Francisca hit another home run, going 2 for 4 with a walk. Uh-oh, folks, Francisca is getting hot. Keegan Zim allowed one hit and struck out seven in five innings.

DSL CLE Mendoze 7, DSL CLE Goryl 0
