Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-15-24 promise the long-anticipated beginning of the end for Theresa.It’s been far too long coming, thanks to the writer’s and actor’s strikes.
DAYS stories tend to be dragged out anyway, but this one would have been over months ago if the regular writers were able to be at the helm instead of replacement scribes treading water until the strike ended.
The good news is that Theresa’s plan will finally begin to unravel, and the drama will go down at the double wedding that Bonnie and Maggie pushed her and Alex into with Xander and Sarah.
Wedding Disasters are a Days of Our Lives Tradition
This Is The Second Time Xander’s Double Nuptials Ended In Trouble
Xander had good reason to be reluctant to participate in a double wedding — his last one ended in disaster when Leo was proven to be conning Craig and Gwen ended up under arrest for poisoning Abigail.

Bonnie’s insistence that he and Sarah agree to this new double wedding with Xander’s least favorite people leads to a predictable twist, but that’s okay.
The sooner this awful storyline is over with, the better.
Theresa’s decision to change Victor’s heir never made any sense.
She was busy trying to convince Brady to give her another chance, so why would she care so much about screwing Xander over and marrying Alex for money that she’d team up with slimy Konstantin?
The entire story relied on outdated TV tropes about Theresa’s motives, and it’s only gone downhill from there.
Theresa’s character assassination is bad enough, but Alex has become insufferable. When he first learned he was supposedly Victor’s son, he was horrible to Justin, who has raised him and loved him from Day 1, and that hasn’t changed since.
Add in the fact that Alex has been spending his inheritance as if there is no tomorrow and only reconciled with Theresa after Kristen lost interest in being his sidepiece and you have a recipe for a relationship that the audience is rooting to fail.

It’s great that Abe has a story again, but this one is even more ridiculous than the Nurse Whitley nonsense.

Abe used to be a serious character who worked with Roman at the police station, took care of his autistic son, and stood up to his wife when her Dimera side got the better of her.
Now he’s a goofy guy who got tricked into thinking a delusional woman was his wife for nearly a year and can’t bear the thought of his favorite soap opera being taken off the air.
Still, Abe and Kate are always fun together, and it’ll also be entertaining for Kate to try to convince Chad — who is busy searching for answers as to whether his late wife is alive — to buy into their business venture.
Stephanie gets her heart broken.
Everett still isn’t who he seems to be, and that’ll be clear to her soon.
Days of Our LIves has finally stood up to its own stereotype by having Marlena tell Jada that most people with mental illnesses are not violent. However, this Everett/Bobby silliness is not anything close to a moving mental health story.
Bobby pretended to turn back into Everett so he could get out of Bayview, and now he’s working with murderous stalker Connie to get rid of the competition so he can have Jada for himself.
That plan not only won’t work, but makes Marlena’s comments about mental illness not being equated with violence seem empty. She also should have had the expertise to tell that Bobby was faking and to know that he wasn’t “gone forever.” Just saying.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-15-24 say that Bobby will soon break up with Stephanie or otherwise make it clear there’s no future. Will she realize who she’s dealing with?
Two men suffer the consequences of their part in the baby switch.
Marlena rips into EJ while Nicole lets Leo know exactly what she thinks of his behavior.

It’s about time! Marlena has been cool and collected since learning that EJ pretended to be the father of Nicole’s baby, but now the mama bear in her’s about to come out.
No one deserves it more than EJ. Yes, Nicole switched Sydney and Mia in the past, but that doesn’t mean EJ should get a free pass.
She would have stayed with him and figured out how to co-parent if she’d known the truth. Now that he lied, she realizes he’s still the same man she felt compelled to hide her last pregnancy from for the baby’s safety.
A love triangle heats up… but it’s close to the end for one character.
Nicole and Eric discuss their future while EJ isn’t ready to let Nicole go.
This compelling storyline makes the reasons for star Arianne Zucker’s lawsuit against Days of Our Lives even more heartbreaking.
Nicole is considering a future with Eric while EJ is determined to get back in her good graces.
She is more suited to EJ, but he deserves to be on the outs with her right now, and I’m curious about whether Nicole and Eric can go five minutes this time without her doing something that causes him to eject her from his life.
This is easily the best storyline right now, but with Nicole’s last air date only two weeks away, there won’t be much time to develop it. Still, at least it’s airing right now, which is better than nothing.
Holly and Tate face a new threat to their plans.
Sophia isn’t as over their backstabbing as she claims.
Who didn’t see that plot twist coming?
I had my doubts that Tate and Holly’s plan was going to work in the first place, and Sophia’s upset about Tate not being into her didn’t help anything.
The first rule of soap operas is that anyone who says they’re over it too quickly is secretly plotting their perfect revenge, and that’s doubly true of soap teens.
The only question here is what Sophia will do with the power she has over Tate and Holly.
Some surprising kind gestures might set the stage for heartbreak.
Justin has kind words for Alex, while Xander has a gift of his own for Jack.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 7-15-24 suggest that the stage is being set for the big reveal at the wedding, especially with Justin making an effort to accept Alex’s relationship with Theresa.
I’m more interested in the gift Xander has for Jack. Xander is the one getting married, so why is he giving Jack anything?
SInce Jack seems to be recurring these days, could Xander be returning the Salem Spectator to him?
Pre-wedding plans hint toward the end of Theresa’s lies.
Alex and Justin’s truce doesn’t last, but what will happen when the truth comes out?
Unsurprisingly, Justin and Alex get into it again before the wedding, which means Alex will have a lot of humble pie to eat when everything falls apart.
He’ll probably be doubly determined to make things work with Theresa, and may decide to cut Justin out of his life.
He’ll have to reverse this unnecessary family drama when the truth comes out. Justin will probably forgive him right away, but that doesn’t mean Alex’s words won’t be as hurtful as possible.
The double wedding disaster begins.
Xander and Sarah are confident in their plans, but will Xander’s mother arrive and ruin everything?
Forget unraveling Theresa’s secret — it’s obvious how that will go. The real excitement here is getting to meet Xander’s mother (Serena Scott Thomas).

Xander’s dropped hints about who she is over the years, none of them good.
Supposedly, she’s an alcoholic who abused and neglected him, which makes Sarah’s insistence that their daughter needs to know her grandmother bizarre.
