Update Pärnu Mass Flight Memorial

In the autumn of 1944, tens of thousands of people fled Estonia to escape from the war, about 10,000 of them via Pärnu. The evacuees who arrived in Sweden were called refugees and those who arrived in Germany were called DPs (displaced persons). Many of those who left Estonia in 1944 never again saw Estonia or their family members who remained at home. While everyone shared the heartbreak of parting, each person has their own story: „Don't want to go, but can't stay.“
