Tottenham are in need of a new left-back

Ryan Sessegnon departed Tottenham last month after his contract ran out while Sergio Reguilon has also been backed to follow him out of the door, with the Spaniard not thought to be in Ange Postecoglou’s plans (Fabrizio Romano – Playback).

That leaves Ben Davies as Destiny Udogie’s only back up and there are some question marks over the Welshman’s fit for the inverted full-back role.

If O’Keefe’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham are now considering entering the market for another left-back and have now set their sights on Locko.

Who will be Destiny Udogie’s left-back competition?

The 22-year-old established himself as a regular in Brest’s starting eleven last season, delivering consistent displays and helping the Frech club secure a third-place finish in Ligue 1 and qualify for the Champions League.

It has now emerged that the Reims academy graduate has emerged as a target for Spurs, although O’Keefe made it clear that a move is not advanced at this stage.

This is not the first time Locko has been linked with a move to Spurs, with Football Insider reporting back in May that the North London club had scouted the youngster last season and had been won over by him.

It makes total sense for Postecoglou to use Ben Davies as a fourth-choice centre-back and sign a left-back as a backup to Udogie. Locko is good on the ball, a threat going forward and he is unlikely to cost a fortune.
