BBC commentator Nick Kyrgios changes out of bold outfit and into England hoodie moments after Wimbledon final

NICK KYRGIOS ditched his suit for an England hoodie just moments after the Wimbledon final.

The Australian, 29, was on commentary duties for BBC TV this afternoon.

And after sending tennis viewers into a spin with his unconventional outfits during the fortnight – including a Stone Island puffer winter coat – he dressed up for the final as he hinted.

Kyrgios opted for a grey suit and black shirt for the grand occasion of the gentlemen’s singles final.

But within moments of Carlos Alcaraz’s scintillating 6-2 6-2 7-6 victory over Novak Djokovic, Kyrgios had done a rapid costume change.

And he went on the charm offensive at Wimbledon by throwing on an England football hoodie – then dug out a Three Lions scarf.

With England kicking off in the Euro 2024 final against Spain just hours later, the Aussie was certainly playing up to his audience.

BBC presenter Clare Balding said: “Alcaraz may be supporting Spain but Nick Kyrgios has changed out of his smart suit and has Three Lions now on his shirt.”

And Kyrgios – who is almost back fit after undergoing secret wrist surgery – replied: “I packed it just in case Novak went down, I need to uplift the programme a bit.

“I’ve got my scarf, I’ve been on the hunt for the last two days, I sent my agent to go into the city to get me some merchandise.

“Look I’m Aussie but I will be backing the Brits tonight.”

Alcaraz, though, will be hoping his win is part of a double-header for Spain on this incredible Sporting Sunday.

And he sent a defiant-but-cheeky five-word message to his country’s football team ahead of kick-off in Berlin.

Alcaraz said: “I’ve already done my job so let’s see about the football.

“I’ll watch with my team for, sure, I don’t know where but I will be watching.

“It will be a really difficult match, I’ll watch and let’s see who wins the Euros.”

And the omens bode well for Alcaraz, too.

In each of the recent years when a Spaniard won the men’s singles at Wimbledon – Nadal in 2008 and then 2010 plus Alcaraz in 2023 – Spain have won a major football trophy.
