Trump Thanks God, Calls for National Unity After He’s Shot in Assassination Attempt

Former President Donald Trump released a new statement after an assassination attempt on his life at a rally Saturday evening, expressing gratitude to God for preventing an unspecified ‘unthinkable’ event.

In his statement, Trump emphasized the importance of faith and resilience in the face of adversity, urging his supporters to remain defiant against wickedness. The statement has garnered significant attention and support from various social media users and conservative figures.

“It was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform after he was wounded in his ear on stage by a hail of bullets that killed one attendee at his rally and seriously injured two more.

”We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness. Our love goes out to the other victims and their families,” he added.

Trump also confirmed he will attend the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee as planned, refusing to change his schedule despite a harrowing act of political violence.

“It is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win. I truly love our Country, and love you all, and look forward to speaking to our Great Nation this week from Wisconsin,” he wrote.
