Love Island fans blast Iain Stirling as he continually pronounces Islanders name wrong despite six weeks on show
LOVE Island fans have ripped into Iain Stirling as he continually pronounced one Islanders name wrong.
Fuming fans appeared to have had enough as they called out the ITV2 show narrator for failing to say one star’s name right.
Ayo Odukoya, 25, entered the villa on day one but it seems that Iain has failed to learn how to say his name correctly.
His obvious blunder has certainly not gone unnoticed by fans who were left calling the TV star out during Sunday night’s episode.
Ayo’s name is pronounced with a ‘I’ sound as opposed to a hard ‘A’.
However, Iain referred to the star using a hard ‘A’ at least twice within the first 20 minutes of Sunday’s episode.
Iain has also failed to pronounce his name right on a string of other occasions.
Blasting the star, one enraged fan said: “It’s been 6 weeks how is [Iain] still pronouncing Ayo’s name wrong….”
Another added: “The fact that none of these people pronounce Ayo’s name correctly is actually so jarring.”
A third then said: “Why is anyone on this show still pronouncing ayo wrong #loveisland.”
Before a fourth echoed: “How’s everyone still mispronouncing Ayo’s name?”
Ayo has been the centre of drama over the past week in the Love Island villa.
He is currently coupled up with Jessica but appears to still have lingering feelings for Mimii.
It comes as fans were left convinced they had spotted the moment that Ayo got the ‘ick’ from his current villa partner.
“What do you want?” he asked her after she told him that he “didn’t give much away”.
“I want you to say ‘I love you so much Jess, I’m so glad you’re here, I’m obsessed with you’,” which shocked Ayo who replied: “Oh my god”.
She admitted: “I am a bit obsessed with you,” and Ayo replied: “That’s cute”.
But fans think that Jess is putting Ayo off.
“Ayo is getting the ick omg,” one wrote.
“Omggg Jess is so clingy I know Ayo is getting the ICK,” added another.
“She’s giving Ayo the ick differently,” wrote a third.
